Ludwig Cammaert is Tarkett EMEA Director of Design, Technical Development, Research & Innovation for carpets. With his flair for combining beautiful, sustainably-led commercial flooring with break-through functional attributes, Ludwig has been a driving force in product development for over a decade.


He and his team are behind some of the business’s greatest flagship products that contribute to improve health and wellbeing on the workfloor, including DESSO Soundmaster®, DESSO AirMaster®, DESSO Light Reflection Master®, DESSO LEDMaster and realization of the carpet Design Center, a creative customization factory which enables the A&D community to co-create new products and colours specifically on customer demand. 

Specialising in the Cradle to Cradle® initiative, Ludwig also led the product development of DESSO’s EcoBase® backing, which includes positively defined chalk from drinking water companies and achieved C2C® Gold Certification.

Ludwig is the prominent force behind Tarkett’s product innovation for DESSO Carpet developing pioneering flooring that contributes towards employee health and wellbeing.
